Summary

SafeLaunch does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data, usage data, or diagnostics. This isn't a setting you can turn on or off — SafeLaunch contains no networking code of any kind and is not permitted by its own macOS sandbox entitlements to make network connections. Everything the app does happens entirely on your Mac.

What SafeLaunch stores, and where

To do its job, SafeLaunch stores the following — all locally on your own Mac, never sent anywhere:

None of this data is readable by us, because none of it ever leaves your Mac.

What SafeLaunch does not do

App Store receipt validation

When downloaded from the Mac App Store, SafeLaunch performs a one-time, on-device check of the App Store purchase receipt using Apple's local Security framework, to confirm the copy running was legitimately obtained. This check is entirely local, makes no network request, and reads no personal information — it only confirms the receipt file present on your Mac is valid.

Children's privacy

SafeLaunch does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If SafeLaunch's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Given the app's design, we do not anticipate that happening.
